So I really don't want to hijack the thread, but I thought I would share this with everyone since I'm sure most people don't know about it.

http://www.baconsalt.com/

It's a seasoning salt that makes everything taste like bacon. I put it on almost everything. I wish I could figure out a way to incorporate it into a beer.

Maybe add it as a spice to a smokey beer?

At last year's Tomato Festival at Iron Barley Sean Sweeney and Jim Leibig made a BLT beer. Sean made the Tomato Beer from an excellent ESB and liquified Red Leaf Lettuce. Jim made a Bacon Smoked Porter which was also excellent. When combined it made a very interesting beer.

I hope that they return for this year's festival.

Cheers,

Dan

Sean,

I will be glad to lend a hand with the cooking. I can do the steaks like last year, or just about anything else on the menu that requires grilling. Just let me know what you want me to do.

Mike
