Folks,

I'm in need of a couple more 6 gallon carboys for use as primaries/secondaries. I've got a wholesaler who will sell them to me for @$32 each plus shipping (not sure how much that is yet) for a bulk order of 36.

If there is interest I'll put the bulk order together, handle the money, and the distribution.

It's also possible to add on other items as well.

Put replies in this thread.

Here's the place if you want to see what else is available:

This is the same place I've done the last two group buys from and they have a nice selection of other glass items if you need it.

Cases of 12oz, 22oz and all different wine/mead bottles. Last pallet was approx $140-160 shipped.

Update

With my order for 2 6 gallon carboys we have a total of 6. I can wait for more before placing this order.

Folks who have expressed interest in a group carboy order.

Kent Roberts, club member and owner of Missouri Malt Supply, tells me he also has a group purchase of carboys going on and would like to combine our purchases to get the order done sooner. He is offering wholesale pricing which is the same we would get if I did this myself.

So, in the interest of getting to a pallet load sooner than later I'm going to send Kent our orders of 9 carboys.

If you've placed a carboy order here, please reply to this forum with your acceptance or not.

Thanks!
Paul Murphy

Is it too late to put in an order? I'll take one if not.

Stanze,

It's not too late to order. We're working up a group order via Kent Robertson of MO Malt Supply.

With your order we're at 10 plus whatever he has.

Paul

Any idea what number we're at or when this order is going in? I'm brewing next weekend and need another carboy by then.

If they don't come in by then, I know that Friar Tuck is selling 6 gallon carboys for $36 plus tax.

I was at the Friar Tucks on Watson on Sunday and this is indeed the price.

I can tell you, that the carboys Friar Tucks gets are the exact same ones that we have purchased in the group buys in the past, and the sames ones that Kent will be getting.

However, I think that they are selling old stock. As $36 plus tax is very, very close to the current cost of these (Even if you order a pallet of them)

So I'd expect that once FT's are out/low and order more that the prices will go up.
