jockey Box lines

Postby Mike C-Z » Fri Apr 18, 2014 4:03 pm

When they're not in use, do they just sit around with sanitizer in the lines? If that's the case, does that effect the flavor of the next beer? How many pints before the residual sanitizer would be out of the line? Or should the lines be flushed with hot water before running new beer through?
Teaching that does not promote learning makes as much sense as brewing that does not promote drinking.

When someone borrows a jockey box, after cleaning, they flush the lines with sanitizer and then blow that out with CO2. The amount of sanitizer left in the lines is pretty minimal.

On Tap: Northern Brown Ale, Imperial Oktoberfest, Saison, Kolsch
Fermenting: Saison, IPA
