Web hosting move complete!!

Postby jkeeton » Sat Feb 25, 2012 8:32 pm

Mike and I completed the move of the website and forum to the new hosting partner on Saturday afternoon. Also the forum was upgraded to the latest version of phpbb during the move.

We deleted about 170,000 spam accounts from the board.
When registering there is a captcha image that the user will have to go through to deter spam.
Also, after registering they will have to click on an email from the board to activate their account.

We will monitor the registrations and any possible spam over the next couple days to ensure things don't get out of control.

If anyone sees any issues email Mike and I at webmeister@.

Is it just me, or does the search only return results prior to April 2009, or after the move?

That is one of the things that is still on our "To-Do" list, which is to re-index the site so that the search works properly.

On Tap: Northern Brown Ale, Imperial Oktoberfest, Saison, Kolsch
Fermenting: Saison, IPA

The search index is still running after 12 hours but doesn't seem to be making any progress. I killed it off and restarted it. I expect that to take a while based on how long the import took.

Site indexing is complete. I see things out there recently and older.

I posted something and it didn't say anything about SMTP. Are we sure this thing is working? Well done, guys, thank you so much!
