Integrated, online, dynamic calendar discussion

I'm generating this thread to help with the new calendar setup.
I suggest that we over-write the current calendar web page (http://www.stlbrews.org/calendar/calendar.asp) by embedding the new dynamic google calendar.

Here is the code for the jockey box calendar:
<iframe src="https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=r9fqclba352e9ak3ouhkc9l7l0%40group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Chicago" style="border: 0" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

Tim or someone devised a way to show all of the calendars on your computer at once (without having a gmail account). I need to look that up. If you have a gmail account, it is really easy to simply add the calendars into your existing one.

To make it easy for everyone. You can download the file here -
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0ByHOqvmRahMgZWJkNjRmYTUtYTc0NS00NjZiLWFmNjctM2Y1YTM5NjFhMGU5

After you click on the link, hit the download button on the upper right side, and save it to your desktop (or anywhere on your computer).
This will pull up all of the calendars integrated together for you.

Or just go here to see them all online:

The new calendar has been posted to the site and is on the Calendar page. When I get the email address from Tim that he set up, I will include that on the page so that people will be able to email him with items to add to the calendar.

OK, here's the iframe source link we should use.
This has all of the calendars and will allow the viewer to select what they see:

If we include that it will provide the group of calendars all overlayed on each other and the user can select which are populated with a drop-down arrow to the right of the "agenda" tab.

Try it, it is slick.

As for the email, I created stlbrews@gmail.com to provide an email address to send requests to and administer the calendar from.

I can also manually restrict who can see what on the "brew days" calendar so our personal information doesn't become public if we choose to host a brew and post that info to inform others. That would entail manually adding members by granting their email address read rights.

We should have a round table over the calendar. ;)

The calendar should now be fully functional.
http://www.stlbrews.org/calendar/calendar.asp

Notice the drop-down arrow in the upper right hand corner next to the "agenda" tab. From there, you can select which calendars you wish to see.

Currently, the Brew Days calendar is public for all the world to see the entries. However, I will have to grant each club member rights to see the event details. This may seem like a PITA, but it is solely to keep our personal information posted in the details (address, phone, email, etc.) private.

Kally, Mike and myself currently have full read/edit rights to ALL calendars. We'll work on populating it with useful information in the coming weeks.

There is a contact link under the calendar for event submissions and requests (including jockey box requests).

Enjoy.
Comments welcome.
